Tuckaweye Development
Managed and marketed by Greenflower Homes
Tuckaweye was envisioned as a resort-style villa community nestled among the pristine estuaries of Southwest Florida. Phase I featured 25 luxury villas—each designed with private pools and enclosed courtyards for ultimate privacy. The project quickly gained acclaim and sold out during pre-construction. The main road, Greenflower Court, was named in honor of Greenflower Homes Inc., marking the company’s first managed real estate project.

Greenflower Products – President & CEO
Doug Reed’s Greenflower Products was responsible for developing, marketing, and distributing a variety of innovative products—from golf equipment to agricultural solutions. One of its notable creations was a frost-protection compound for crops, proven effective by the University of Florida’s agricultural department. Though the product showed promise, its delivery method posed challenges, prompting further research.
Doug’s most recognized invention remains the “Formable Reusable Enclosure”, patented April 7, 1992. Known widely today as the first coffee cup wrap, this product became a global standard and has been produced in the trillions.
Doug Reed played a pivotal role in the commercialization of golf products, contributing to hundreds of millions in global revenue. He appeared as a spokesperson in successful campaigns for:
- Triton Golf Balls
- PowerArc Golf Clubs (with Jerry Heard and Jerry Tucker)
- Clubleash
- Bald Eagle Golf Balls ( with Hollis Stacy and Bobby Clampett)
- LoveBug
- The Controller Driver
- The Controller Driving Iron – the first example of hollow driving irons, now widely used on tour.
Doug’s 1997 Better Golf infomercial made history for using uncut footage—showing all of his golf shots in full. It became one of the most successful golf infomercials of all time, airing for over five years and reaching audiences on nearly every continent. It was featured in more than 1,000 newspapers, including USA Today and The Wall Street Journal.
