Meet Douglas J. Reed
Doug Reed is a P.G.A. professional golfer, Hoosier Scholar, award-winning instructor, inventor, and visionary entrepreneur whose career spans golf, real estate, media, and product innovation.
As a touring pro, he won the 1979 Freeport Open and 1980 Rolex Invitational. Transitioning to business, Doug became a pioneering real estate developer in Southwest Florida, founding the Greenflower family of companies, which advanced community development, golf operations, and product innovation. he co-invented the original coffee cup sleeve (U.S. Patent #5,102,036) and developed frost-protection compounds and breakthrough golf products. His 1997 infomercial, Better Golf, featuring a 339-yard iron shot, drove hundreds of millions in sales. A top instructor nominated by “Golf Digest,” Doug has coached over 70 PGA pros with 45 tour wins. He also launched Coral Hospitality’s golf division, contributing to its rapid rise in the industry. Doug holds SEC licenses (Series 7, 63, 65) and remains a leader in innovation and excellence.
